What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the Lord our God is near us whenever we pray to Him? Deuteronomy 4:7
Which of the following does your prayer life resemble?
A. Ordering a pizza. Specific, quick, a listing of your favorite things and waiting for the delivery.
B. Drowsy. You do know it’s not really nice to fall asleep while you are talking to someone, right?
C. Chatty Cathy. God can never get a word in.
E. Tennis Game. An even exchange between you and God.
I’d like to challenge myself and all of you to take advantage of the power of prayer that is right before us.
Prayer is the power that makes us closer to God, tunes us in to His will, gets us involved in His work that is going on all around us—and gives us the strength to do it!
It is also the power that will make us as His church to be salt, light and a pleasing fragrance to the people of Marshfield and beyond.
Let us pray!
